Our Barcelona office was established in 2000 to meet the increasing demand in the Spanish hotel market. We provide advisory, brokerage and valuation services specifically for Spain and Portugal, and also in Europe, working together with our regional offices.
Our consultancy and advisory services are wide ranging and include: strategic and operational reviews and advice, future trading projections, KPI benchmarking and development, feasibility studies and project and risk management. Many of these services may be provided as part of due diligence processes, which we conduct for both buyer and seller side.
We also offer a performance monitoring service, which provides an ongoing and impartial view to a hotel's operational status together with industry insight and analysis, with the aim of improving and simplifying the decision-making process within the business, while provides a valuable tool to maximize the assets value with a better control of the operator.
Our brokerage services focus on providing a global solution aimed at maximising value for sellers, including strategic pricing advice and options analysis for the disposal of businesses and properties (from single asset to substantial portfolios). Specifically, we conduct investor and operator search and selection, sale-and-lease back transactions, management and franchise agreements and investment creation (such as JV partners, forward funding, OpCo/PropCo structures, etc.)
The team is led by Inmaculada Ranera
, Managing Director for Christie & Co in Spain and Portugal – with almost 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector and sixteen years’ in the hotel sector– she has an invaluable industry knowledge and a wealth of experience in many operations of different kind, from the sale and rental of individual assets to the sale of full hotel portfolios, including management of distressed assets, among others.
