At the pool of my apartments in Singapore, where I worked before joining Christie & Co.
What was your first job?
In kitchen and service in a small Italian restaurant in my hometown in Germany.
In a couple of sentences, can you tell us a bit about your job at Christie & Co?
I provide a wide range of strategic development and investment advice to people that build, buy, own, finance or operate hotels (or want to).
What’s your favourite thing about Christie & Co?
The culture and connectedness between remote teams.
If you had to pick a favourite project that you’ve worked on at Christie & Co so far, what would it be?
There have been very interesting ones (and less so) but I don’t (yet) have one favourite project.
What’s been the biggest challenge of your career so far?
After a 7-year stint in Analysis and Finance, getting back to a Consulting role.
What’s been a highlight of your career so far?
Having been able to work in several countries (Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Hungary, Thailand, Singapore and now the UK).
Tell us a bit about your life outside work – what are your hobbies?
I enjoy cooking (while my wife bakes) and travelling (although I haven’t been doing so for a while now).
What’s your hometown? Where do you live now?
am from Bad Homburg near Frankfurt am Main in Germany, but currently live in London.
Where’s the best place you’ve been on holiday?
(a small mountain village with beautiful rice terraces) and Ha Long Bay in Vietnam
What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Unprofessional looking reports.
What is one thing on your bucket list
Hiking in the Himalayas.
