As reported earlier, Christie & Co re-structured its German team in the second half of the previous year. In his function as Managing Director Germany, Austria & CEE, Lukas Hochedlinger, who since the re-structuring is also responsible for the German offices, has now announced the recruitment of two department heads. Christie & Co plans to extend its team further over the upcoming months.

In order to adapt to the growing needs of the market and to build on the excellent work of our teams, we are glad to have been joined by two experienced hotel property experts for senior positions”.
Since January 2016, Christie & Co’s Advisory & Valuations Department in Germany is being headed up by Kay Strobl as Head of Advisory & Valuation Services. Ingo Gürges, a qualified hotel professional, will complement the team as Head of Investments in February 2016.
Kay Strobl joins the firm from Deloitte und Touche GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft where she spent nine years, most recently supervising the department Real Estate & Hospitality in her role as Manager, focusing largely on hotel feasibility and profitability studies, hotel valuation, operator and investor search as well as transaction support. Previously, Kay worked for gato ag, where she contributed to the conception and realisation of large-scale tourist projects. Kay Strobl started her career with an apprenticeship to become a qualified hotelier at the Munich Marriott Hotel and is a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. She also holds a Master Degree in Tourism Management of the Université de Savoie, France, and has studied real estate economics at IRE|BS International Real Estate Business School. Kay is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional and an instructor by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. She also acts as lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Department of Tourism.
Ingo Gürges started his career at Kempinski Hotels, followed by a number of positions in Sales and Marketing. After having worked as Area Sales Director in the New York office of Forte & Le Meridien Hotels for four years, he joined the New York head office of The Leading Hotels of the World. In his most recent role as Vice President Global Hotel Development at Worldhotels he was responsible for the development of the group, for which he has been working for 14 years in total.
In addition to these new recruits, Christie & Co is planning to extend both its investment and consultancy teams in all German locations.
